Southeastern Marine Surveying Company staff members are well-qualified surveyors and adjusters for surveys, for buyers and insurance underwriters; cargo damages and adjusting; boat appraisals for bank loans. In addition, we offer investigative services into admiralty, fire, casualty and liability claims.

Located in the southeastern United States, we are based in Savannah, Georgia.

Educational background:  Maine Maritime Academy, Class of 1978.

Experience:  While attending Miami Dade Community College Oceanographic Department he worked with Ryder Yachts, Miami, FL, rigging and yacht repair; Merrill Stevens Shipyard, Miami, FL., yacht repair.   After graduating from Maine Maritime Academy Capt. Scott began with American Export Lines, New York, NY, Deck Officer aboard break bulk freighters.  Coming ashore, Capt. Scott was employed by Brunswick Port Authority, Brunswick, GA, as Assistant Manager bulk facility; Sailed with Gulf Fleet Marine Corporation, Harvey, LA, Captain of oil supply vessels; Parkhill Goodlow, Jacksonville, FL, Captain of towing vessels. Southeastern Marine Surveying Company, Savannah, GA (1982 until present). 

License and Certifications:

Third Mate of Vessels, Unlimited Tonnage, Upon Oceans
